1. What Data We Collect and Why
a. Website Analytics: We collect technical data (IP, browser, etc.) to improve the site. Legal basis: Legitimate interest.
b. Contact Form or Email: We process your name, email, and message to respond to your queries. Legal basis: Legitimate interest.
If you contact the project coordinator EIBIR, in the contact tab, at office@eibir.org, please note that EIBIR will be controller of the data you shared with them as detailed below.c. Newsletter Subscription: We collect name, email, date/time of subscription for the purposes of distributing the newsletter. Legal basis: Consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@europeanlung.org. Managed via Mailchimp (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
d. Interactive Tools (Eligibility & Pathway): These tools provide general information only and do not store personal data by default.
2. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to make the site function (navigation, security, remembering your choices). We also use analytics cookies (GA4) to learn how the site is used so we can improve it, but only if you consent. You can manage choices via the cookie banner or by using Google’s browser opt-out.3. Lungs Europe will store your data and securely delete it after the time frames outlined below:

– Contact emails: 5 years
– Newsletter: Until unsubscribe or 18 months of inactivity

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Data is only shared with Mailchimp for the purpose of newsletter distribution and with Google analytics for website tracking. It is not shared with any third-parties.
